Malaysia Truly Asia – The Big Move!
F
rom early 2010 since delivering a presentation at the inaugural PGA of Asia conference in Thailand my direction has been to position myself in the Asian region. Having spent the past 12 years establishing myself in Australia I’ve also spent time in Korea, China, and Malaysia where I’ve developed and instructed programs for golfers with a focus on player development and education.

After holding a recent training camp in early February this year at The Mines Resort & Golf Club in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia the decision was made to make a permanent move and base myself in the region. I’ve now joined the team at Impact Elite Golf Academy, which recently relocated to the world-class Mines Resort & Golf Club in October 2011.

The focus will be on growing the game at the grass-roots level, whilst providing the tools for golfers in the region so they are capable of exceeding their potential and excelling at an international level. As Australia’s first AimPoint Certified instructor I also look forward to delivering this revolutionary green reading system in the Asian region. Rome wasn’t built in a day and with strong support from a great team and network I look forward to the challenges and exciting time ahead.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all the students which have supported in Australia over the past 12 years; I look forward to returning to Melbourne from time to time throughout the year for some coaching and to deliver AimPoint Clinics at Albert Park in Melbourne.

Hi Steven, all the best with the move. I am considering a move to coaching in Malaysia in about October/November this year. Did you have any issues with a work visa?

Thanks, all going well! Regarding the visa this was organised through the company/academy I’m working with, so no issues.
